REASONS AND CONSEQUENCES OF DIVORCE AMONG AHISKA TURKS IN KYRGYZSTAN

Abstract

Divorce is perceived as a negative phenomenon and is reflected in people's minds as a tragic breakdown of the family, which is the basic unit of society. This article presents statistical data on the number of divorces in general, both in Kyrgyzstan and in the territories of the Kyrgyz Republic. The main causes and consequences of divorces in modern families of Ahıska Turks are also analyzed. The analysis of the survey data conducted by the author of the article in 2022 is carried out. The survey concerns the causes and consequences of divorces of Ahıska Turks women in Kyrgyzstan. Based on the results of a sociological study conducted by the author in Kyrgyzstan in 2022, some characteristics, causes, factors, and consequences of divorces in modern families of Ahıska Turks are given. The purpose of this work is to analyze the main causes and consequences of divorces in the families of Ahıska Turks. As a research method, as mentioned above, a questionnaire method was used among Ahiska women, and interviews were conducted with some representatives of Ahıska Turks. The interviews conducted and the questionnaire survey contain questions aimed at investigating the problem, causes, and consequences of divorce among Ahıska Turks Family and family values are the foundation on which a person's life is built. Therefore, measures are needed to strengthen the role and value of the family in modern society to avoid an increase in the number of divorces in a given society. We need comprehensive financial, economic, and socio-psychological support for families in crisis. To prevent divorces, further study of the problem of divorce, in general, is necessary, and comprehensive and appropriate measures should be taken to prevent divorces.
