Author Guidelines

All authors applying to the International Journal of Ahiska Studies must voluntarily comply with international standards.

Manuscripts uploaded to the system are taken for preliminary examination in terms of purpose and scope by the editorial board. Articles deemed suitable for publication are sent to the reviewers consisting of researchers selected from a large panel. A “blind review” policy is applied in the evaluation of manuscripts. Following the review of studies, reviewers may decide to “accept”, “revise” or “reject” them. Manuscripts submitted to the journal are returned to the author in the event that they do not comply with the writing and publication principles.

Manuscripts that comply with the following writing rules are included in the review process:

• Manuscripts should be prepared within the journal’s purpose, scope, publication ethics and policy.
• Manuscripts should be written in Turkish, English or Russian.
• Since a blind reviewing system is applied in the journal, a manuscript submitted for the review process must not include any statement that could reveal the identity of the author(s).
• The “Abstract”, which is to be prepared in three languages ​​(Turkish, English and Russian), should consist of 150-200 words. For Turkish and Russian articles, an “Extended Abstract” in English consisting of 750-1000 words should be added.
• The length of the article, including any appendices but excluding the references section and extended abstract, should not exceed 7500 words.
• Manuscripts must comply with the IJAS writing and publication rules.
• Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the journal template.
